You have many email clients to choose from, and there are way to many clients for us to keep up with. Even within just one client screens change from one version to the next. So you will have to have some smarts to figure out exactly how to get your setup completely done right.

For the experts and experienced users I have outline below the basics so you can get your setup completed rather easily.   It is best to choose the right client now so you won't have to convert later. For people who have better things to do than know all the pros and consbetween different email clients you might want to have a conversaton with a professional so you do the right thing the first time.

  1. Basic things you need to consider are what functions are you looking for:
  2. Email composition editor full featured or basic editor.
  3. Calendar functions
  4. Task Managment
  5. Reminders for appointment and tasks
  6. Notes
  7. Ability to easily backup and move your contacts, email to other comptuers

Well here are the Basics for the Experts:

All Account / Login Names require full email address (ie.  yourname@ctsmail.net)

Incoming Mail Server:  mail.ctsmail.net  POP3 --> port 110  IMAP --> port 143 (Connection Security STARTTLS)

Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.ctsmail.net  PORT 25 or PORT 587 (Connection Security STARTTLS)

Do not use or check  (Use Secure Authentication or Server Requires Secure Connection SSL)

Finally if CTS is hosting your domain then subsitute yourdomainname.com for all references to  ctsmail.net in all documents.
